My husband had a stroke a few years ago at age 30 and neither of us were aware there was any kind of stroke organization.
The brain makes for some good artwork material. I've done a couple of brain-related pieces. I even like the word.
And thank you for your sympathy. We've acclimated to the changes more or less. More people should be aware of medical emergency symptoms and the programs that could possibly help. Had we really known the symptoms, he could have gotten treatment much sooner and he wouldn't have had to deal with these permanent issues like impaired memory, thought function, speech, and paralysis. In fact, before all this, I didn't even know what a stroke actually was. There definitely needs to be much more awareness out there.
