My Bio
Hi, I'm Amy. I'm a painter, a photographer and have been known to do a bit of sculpting, batik and crafts of all sorts. So look out for random side tracking in my gallery!
I studied Fine Art (Sculpture), at Edinburgh College of Art and History of Art at Edinburgh University. Graduated 2003. Since then, I have travelled in Asia extensively, studying Batik techniques in Indonesia and Chinese painting in Beijing. My art these days is a mixture of all these influences. Often Abstract, sometimes surreal, usually colourful.
In 2010 my baby boy Hunter was born, and in 2012 my baby girl Talyn joined the crew, so I am blessed and incredibly busy! I do my best to fit in a part time job, freelance design work, photography and a little bit of self indulgant arting whenever I get the chance!

Artist exhibition statement
What is this world we live in? How is it possible that a west Scottish coastline that I have returned to, and painted a hundred times in my life, has never changed; yet chaos is constantly reshaping the world around us? Where is the medium? And what shall that medium be? For me, it's Art.
